The inspiration for the SANDER Sofa came from the idea of creating a piece of furniture that offers the ultimate in comfort and relaxation without being limited to formal design principles. I wanted to reinterpret the category of cozy sofas, using the potential of design to create a distinctive visual language.

Inspired by the art movements of the 70s and 80s and influenced by postmodern design approaches, I wanted to design a sofa that was unconventional and expressive – without becoming gimmicky. The unexpected design is an interplay of the sophisticated upholstered crowning and the hand-sewn covers.

This creates a symbolic language of form that evokes associative images such as clouds or marshmallows. But SANDER is also strongly located in the present, the influence of our home Berlin and even more precisely of Kreuzberg, is reflected in the desire for unconventional shapes and colors as well as the historical charms of postmodernism.

With the design language of the SANDER, I want to enable people to find their own interpretation, making the design a very personal experience that meets the needs of modern living.

Reinorange (Vidar 4 0542 by Kvadrat/Raf Simons)
94% virgin wool, 6% nylon with 100,000 Martindale (very high durability). Woven from bouclé yarns, Vidar features a subtle satin finish and particularly intense colors. Vidar has an inviting texture reminiscent of blackberries, orange peels, or the pleasantly dense structure of a favorite sweater.
Caring & Warranty:

In order to prolong the durability of your upholstered furniture and maintain an attractive appearance, care and regular cleaning is very important. Dirt and dust wear and tear fabrics.
OUT OBJEKTE UNSERER TAGE uses textiles of the highest quality. Nevertheless, it is possible that textiles fade overtime. Therefore avoid direct, strong sunlight and similar light sources. Upholstered furniture should be vacuumed regularly ata maximum medium level. Use the upholstery nozzle of the vacuum cleaner for this. To prevent the fabric from changing during cleaning, we strongly recommend using a smooth upholstery nozzle without bristles when vacuuming.

This minimizes the risk of fibres coming loose from the fabric and helps to maintain the quality and longevity of the material. Stains should be removed immediately to avoid permanent damage. Remove stains by carefully wiping them off with a lint free cloth or sponge soaked in warm water without detergent. Avoid rubbing it with pressure over the fabric, otherwise the fabric may be damaged. We also recommend that you follow the manufacturer‘s cleaning and care instructions
